Am I eligible to receive Child Care Subsidy?
To be eligible, you and your
partner must:
Care for your child at least two nights per fortnight, or have 14% care.
Be liable for fees for care provided at an approved child care service.
Must meet residency rules. You and your partner must be living in Australia and have one of the following:
• Australian Citizenship
• A permanent visa
• A special category visa
• a certain temporary visa type.
Your child must:
Meet the immunisation requirements
Not be attending secondary school, unless:
• 13yo or under, or
• 14 - 18yo with disability

How is CCS calculated?
Family Income
Financial income refers to your, and your partner’s, combined taxable income for the entire financial year.
Hours of Activity
The least active family member, in terms of ‘recognised’ activity, will determine the calculation of your CCS hours.
Hourly Rate Cap
Depending on the childcare you use, the type of childcare service and the age of your child, your subsidy may be capped.

Set up your
MyGov account
Ensure your account is set up and ready to access.
Gather your documents
Supporting documents must be submitted
Claim CCS
• Sign in to your MyGov
• Go to Centrelink and select Payment and Claims
• Click Make a Claim
• Under Families, click Get Started
• Answer all questions and follow the prompts
• Submit your claim
Tracking
Your claim can be tracked via your MyGov account – keep hold of your receipt details
